Chiccoreli is a producer, DJ, promoter, radio host, and the man behind the Liquid Lowdown, a radio show and club night focusing on Drum n Bass of a soulful nature and deeper flavour. His radio show has been consistently voted the world’s number one Liquid Drum & Bass Radio show, and he is sought after as a DJ for his smooth mixing style and soulful selection, but with enough grit and energy to keep the dance floor moving.
Kicking off his professional DJ & Radio show career in 2011, Chiccoreli’s reputation as one of the leading figures of the liquid genre, has seen him playing all the major festivals in his home of New Zealand, including – Rhythm & Vines, Splore, Shipwrecked and Northern Bass (where he runs a Liquid Lowdown stage on new years eve featuring international headliner’s such as Spectrasoul, Lenzman & Monrroe).
Chiccoreli has also been invited to perform internationally at Sun in Bass Festival (Sardinia), Hospitality On The Beach (Croatia) Liquicity (The Netherlands) Blue Sky (Fiji) and has undertaken a tour of North America and Hawaii.
Chiccoreli also runs his Liquid Lowdown club night’s in all the major cities across Aotearoa, New Zealand with headliners that have included Pola & Bryson, GLXY, Visionobi & Satl to name just a few. He has also headlined various club nights and supported international acts including, LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, Hybrid Minds, Degs & Alix Perez.
The Liquid Lowdown radio show has been a weekly staple for fans for the last 12 years on NZ’s Number one Dance & Electronic radio station – George FM. The show has an average of 35,000 live listeners every Sunday, and the uploaded shows to Mixcloud have gained a listenership of over 600,000 individual listens and is still growing – making it the number one Liquid DnB show across the world and voted the top 5 DnB show on the platform.
More recently, Chiccoreli has started gaining a reputation for his production with a two track EP released on the Dutch label Fokuz Recordings, and in January 2024 had a track featuring MC DRS released on DRS’s UK imprint ‘Space Cadet’. The tracks have had over 70,000 listeners via Spotify, with more new music signed and due to be released on Fokuz mid 2024.
