DRIVING
The roads are very busy and Settlement Road will be closed for festival traffic from SH1. We have limited first come, first served to park.
We ask everyone to car pool as much as possible!
There is limited free parking on-site allocated to campers first. There is more parking a short distance away, with a free shuttle service to site.
PLEASE NOTE: There is NO parking on the road outside the festival. Cars parked along the road will be towed.
You can stay in our campground or off site in one of the local towns.
Camping on site
This is the best way to experience NB! Please keep your tents smaller than 3m x 3m. If you have a large number of people staying in your tent, it could be bigger (but no side can be larger than 6m). You may bring a small gazebo, but these may be taken down if more space in the campground is needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Our campground sells out in advance every year, make sure you lock your camping pass early. Only people who have purchased camping passes will be allowed in the camping area.
We’ve partnered with Ultimate Festival Kits to bring more pre-pitched sustainable tent options to NB 24/25.
Ultimate Festival Kits are designed for sustainably-minded festival-goers on a budget who want a hassle-free camping experience while respecting the environment.

Ultimate Festival Camping Kits include
- 1 x two person tent (pre-pitched)
- 2 x air mattresses (pre-inflated)

PASSOUTS:
There are NO pass-outs from Northern Bass. Once you have entered the festival you CANNOT leave and re-enter on the same day.
The only exception is for campers staying at the venue for two or three days. Those with a 3 day camping pass can leave the venue on 30th and 31st, and those with a 2 day camping pass can leave the venue on the 31st, in order to visit the local area/beach etc – but you must be out of the venue before 12pm.
This year we are going to be running a FREE bus taking campers into the local spots – Mangawhai and Mangawhai Heads. We drop you at Mangawhai Heads Info Centre – walking distance to the beach! This bus will run from 9am – 12pm and you will be able to jump on a return trip for free with your camping wristband. This is only for campers who have stayed on site the night before who are heading to the beach in the morning. If you need to catch a bus to arrive at the festival on your first day, or need a ride home when the festival ends, you will need to buy a bus pass.
You will be checked on your return for intoxication and will not be able to enter the venue if intoxicated. You will also be subject to a full search when re-entering the Northern Bass site.
But then… why would you want to leave? We have everything you need on site!
Campervans will not be permitted to re-enter the venue if they leave.
We don’t offer refunds on any tickets – unless the event is cancelled.
The ONLY way to sell your ticket is via the Flicket resale function – this way you get your money and the purchaser gets their ticket sent directly to them.
Direct Resale (when you find someone to sell your ticket to) opens on the 16th of December and will only be available for 48hrs. Waiting list resale opens when a full ticket type sells out.
Information on how to complete a Direct Resale (the only way to transfer ownership of your tickets) can be found here.

Yes, the name on the ticket needs to match the name on the ID. If it is obviously a shorter version of the name, and the picture looks like you, then that will be fine.
If you have bought tickets through the correct website (Flicket or Flicket Resale) and put your nickname, or put two tickets in your own name (it happens) then message support@flicket.co.nz and explain the situation. We will look at things on a case-by-case basis.
Yes we do! One day tickets are available for the 29th, 30th and 31st December. Camping is ONLY available on the 31st.
Get in quick as all of these tickets are limited!
No we do not usually have gate sales. We will advertise if we will have any gate sales closer to the event.
